I'm Nick.
I am a Front-End Software Engineer living in St. Louis, MO. This is my personal website and blog. I vaguely resemble the guy on the left (except usually without the camo). JavaScript, HTML, and CSS pay the bills but I have many interests beyond technology. Topics on this site will range from music, sports, politics, St. Louis, finance, entertainment, beer, travel, and more.
More bits about me: I've been an extra in a Jessica Alba movie. I have a lifetime goal of visiting all 50 US States and 100 countries. So far I'm not close. I hold season tickets to both the Rams and Cardinals and yes, I realize how much this "hobby" has cost me over the years. I believe that on the 8th day God created Jack in the Box for hungover people. I watch TV too much and exercise too little. I'm OK with that. I'm learning to sail. I can't play guitar. Given the choice between Bud and Bud Light I'd choose Blue Moon. I've shaken a Senator's hand. I've been to Mexico and I wouldn't go back. Montezuma was not kind. I support web standards but I'm not a Nazi about it. Net Neutrality is a must. I probably won't like your kids or care to meet them. I still get excited for every new Metallica album. I have too much time on my hands but generally stay out of trouble. I wish I had a beard. Like Yusef Islam style. I prefer pubs over clubs, metal over country, planes over cars, naps over gyms, books over magazines, Intarwebs over network news, Movies over TV, baseball over football, football over basketball, Showtime over HBO, coffee over tea, tattoos over piercings, Sirius over XM, Van Halen over Van Hagar, Dave Attell over Dane Cook, microwaves over ovens, sushi over pizza, haikus over puns, PHP over Java, KFK over Marty Friedman, text messages over phone calls, salt over sugar, beaches over mountains, gambling over praying, 50 Cent over Kanye, Jay-Z over everyone else, conspiracy theories over "facts", comedy over drama, and wineries over breweries.
Wanna know anything else? Just ask.
